Michel Droge is a professional printmaker who has collaborated with artists Donald Judd, Robert Rauschenberg and Robert Morris, among others. Her interests in coastal ecosystems and climate change are reflected in her work, which speaks to her experience of living along the coast and connecting with the environment. She has also worked as a museum preparator at Colgate University, Bates College Art Museum, and the Portland Museum of Art. She earned her BA at Oberlin College and her MFA at MECA&D. Students from her First Year Initiative (FY‐In) class on climate change and Maine’s island communities were invited to bring the exhibit they created to the Maine State House. This project also included working with the Island Institute and the Maine Coast Fishermen’s Association.
