Faculty Honour Mack

Honour Mack, Professor of Painting, during her most recent sabbatical, was able to focus exclusively on her painting practice and exhibiting her work. Her work was recently included in the group exhibition Sea Smoke at Portland Public Library, and she was invited to exhibit work selected by the director of the Portland Museum of Art at the Cumberland Club, also in Portland, ME. She exhibited drawings that spanned 20 years of work on paper in the ICA at MECA&D as part of the faculty exhibition South of No North. Skidmore College in New York invited her to participate in a discussion panel focusing on professional development. She also served as the MFA Artist in Residence at the Pacific Northwest College of Art in Portland, OR, where she had a solo exhibition called Re-solving Chaos, which consisted entirely of new paintings. She also participated in the Art New England Workshop Program at Bennington College, which involved a week of intensive interactions with students and a public lecture.
