BFA Fall 2017 Visiting Artist Lecture Series
MECA&D’s Visiting Artist & Guest Lecturer Series invites professional artists, educators, curators, thought leaders, and creative entrepreneurs to present on topics of interest and importance to the MECA&D community.

Anthony Sonnenberg

Crowns and candlesticks— things made in the moments just before a crash are the subject of my work. Rather than casting judgments, I seek to actively engage with and bear witness to the tragic and beautiful nature of this cycle. My making comes from seeing the writing on the wall and not knowing what to do about it.

Jeremy Hatch

Jeremy Hatch’s studio practice employs a variety of techniques and concepts linked to ceramics, ranging from vessel-based, wheel thrown sculpture to large-scale slip cast porcelain installation. In 2008, he founded Ricochet Studio as a means to explore the intersections between craft, art, and design, with the goal to collaborate with artists from various disciplines to develop limited edition ceramic products.

Stephanie Cardon
