Elyse Grams is an interdisciplinary artist working in ceramics, embroidery, upholstery, and woodworking. The central question of her practice asks who does the work of remembering and how does collective memory skew or become historical record? Delving into Americana through objects and traditional crafts Grams reimagines historical events and reinterprets objects to tell new stories.

Grams holds a BFA in Ceramics with a Minor in Education from the University of Texas at San Antonio and received her MFA from the Maine College of Art & Design. She has shown and curated work in Texas, Tennessee, New Hampshire, and Maine.
