Your bill is due by the payment due date listed on your billing statement, satisfied by a payment, financial aid, payment plan, or loan. If you are eligible for Financial Aid, preliminary financial aid may be listed on your preliminary bill. Questions about financial aid should be directed to FinAid@meca.edu. ACH and 529 payments can now be made online through your MYMECA&D account. Maine College of Art & Design does not accept credit cards for payments for tuition. Your bill may be paid using the following methods listed below:

Payment Online
  • ACH/Electronic Payment -Payments from US savings or checking accounts can be completed online with no fee via ACH from a secure site. This requires the bank routing number, the savings or checking account number, student name, and MECA&D Student ID number.
  • 529 ACH Payment -Electronic payments offer streamline payment processing to simplify the tuition payment process for 529 savers. Many 529 savings plans can be used to make payments on your account, however not all 529 vendorsand/or plans are currently supported. Your 529 vendor may assess a service fee. This payment option requires the name and account number of your 529 Plan.   If your 529 Plan is not listed, please send plan withdrawal checks to:

  • Mail/Check Payment -A check from a US bank account made payable to MECA&D. Please indicate the student's name and MECA&D student ID number on the memo section of the check. Check payments can be mailed to:

Payment By Nelnet Payment Plan
  • Nelnet Payment Plan -Electronic payments with ACH, credit card or debit card. Regularly scheduled payments processed on the 15th of each month, with a small non refundable enrollment fee for plans. If someone is paying on behalf of the student, the student must set up their account first and then add an authorized payer to the Nelnet account. *Please note, we bill by semester, but Nelnet will want you to set your budget for the full academic year, fall and spring semesters.
               
Payment By Scholarship
  • Scholarship Check Payment -All scholarship checks should be sent directly to the Student Accounts Office payable to Maine College of Art & Design including the students ID number and student name. Please indicate if a personal check represents scholarship funds paid personally to the student.
