Tegan Curry ’02
Tegan Curry is from Bar Harbor, Maine, and currently produces six lines of jewelry. Growing up, she spent summers on the ocean working for her dad, with plenty of time to explore the coastline.
Her latest product, LobsterBand Rings, stands apart from her other work and was inspired by finding various colored lobster bands while beachcombing. Also known as “Downeast Weddin’ Bands,” the tiny rubber bands are used by lobstermen to hold the crustacea’s claws shut. Her LobsterBand Rings, which are wide and chunky, are made in silver or gold and feature authentic interchangeable lobster bands, combining fashion with an authentic coastal flair.
The rings are available at Spruce & Gussy in Bar Harbor, KoT in Ellsworth and Fore River Gallery in Portland, with other venues planned.
