A variety of public programs, including visiting artist talks, art history lectures, and panel discussions, are organized in conjunction with exhibitions. The ICA also sponsors programs in collaboration with the local art community and participates in community events.

Adventures in Art – School Program

Adventures in Art is a contemporary art education program for your students, that uses the current ICA exhibition and on-going curriculum connections. This includes a classroom visit from MECA&D's Master of Arts in Teaching candidates, MECA&D field trip, ICA exhibition tours, an art-making experience here at MECA&D that correlates to the ICA show, and a student exhibition back at your school.

If you are interested in taking part, please contact Rachel Somerville, Program Chair of the MAT program, at rsomerville@meca.edu

Internships

The ICA is committed to providing college students with hands-on museum experiences ranging from curatorial assistance to teaching in an educational program or working with artists to develop projects. Contact the ICA at ica@meca.edu to inquire about internships.
