Located in Stonington, Maine, the Pace House residency is made possible through the generosity of Stephen and Palmina Pace who gifted their seaside home to the college for the purpose of creating time and space for Maine College of Art & Design faculty, staff, and alumni.

The 2019 Pace House alumni and faculty residents are Shawn Brewer ’12, Nicole Duennebier ’05, Lucas Ouellette ’18, Christopher Patch ’98, Reggie Hodges, Mitchell Rasor, and Seth Rogoff.

With support from the Stephen and Palmina Pace Foundation, mid-career artists Nicole Duennebier, Reggie Hodges, Christopher Patch, Mitchell H. Rasor, and Seth Rogoff were also awarded stipends to recognize their accomplishments and encourage their professional development.

The selection committee was comprised of Jaime DeSimone, Associate Curator of Contemporary Art at the Portland Museum of Art, Alumni Council member Elizabeth Prior ’82, Jenna Crowder ’09, staff member and Founding Editor of The Chart, and Isabelle Maschal O’Donnell ’17, Alumni Relations & Events Coordinator.

The Pace House Gallery, showcasing the paintings of Stephen Pace in the home, is open to the public mid-June through September on Wednesday evenings from 5-7pm and Saturdays from 10am–2pm.
