MECA&D's Continuing Studies Department hosted a series in the spring of 2015 called Foraged: Films about Food and You. The series included films such as My Father's Garden, a one-hour documentary about the future of agriculture in America and the impact it will have throughout the nation. In the film, two farmers explore the impact of synthetic chemicals used in agriculture and the use and misuse of technology on the American farm. Other films included The Future of Food, about genetic engineering of food crops, and The Real Dirt of Farmer John, about a maverick Midwestern farmer who gradually transformed his land into the birthplace of a revolutionary farming community.
Admissions was free and followed by a discussion and snacks provided by Rosemont Market and Bakery.
