PORTLAND, Maine – Maine College of Art & Design (MECA&D) has appointed André S. Fransen van de Putte as Chief Enrollment Management Officer announced Laura Freid, President on Monday. Fransen van de Putte brings twenty years of experience in enrollment management at both the undergraduate and graduate level.
In this new post, Fransen van de Putte will develop strategic undergraduate and graduate recruitment and enrollment strategies and oversee the student enrollment services experience for the College.
“André S. Fransen van de Putte’s leadership in art and design college admissions nationally is impressive. He will be an important voice in our strategic planning process as we envision MECA&D’s future,” said MECA&D President, Laura Freid.
Fransen van de Putte previously served as Dean of Enrollment at Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts (PAFA), where he grew new student enrollment, initiated international recruiting, expanded the Alumni Ambassador program, and led strategic enrollment and retention initiatives through a collaboration with multiple departments across the institution.
Prior posts include Director of Graduate Admissions at School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) which he held for eight years. While at SAIC, Fransen van de Putte launched eight new programs and designed communication and marketing plans for each program.
A graduate of School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC), Fransen van de Putte received a Master of Fine Arts, and also earned a Bachelor of Arts from Stony Brook University in NY.
