In the first day of their Kinetic Sculpture class on January 20, 2017, Adjunct Assistant Professor of Sculpture Kim Bernard's students designed and built a 12-foot-long pink cat in five hours flat. That evening, the "Pussy Dragon" was stowed in the luggage compartment in a bus carrying 56 people to the Women's March on Washington, D.C. , 15 of whom were young female students. Not sure if the huge cat would get through security, Kim and "The Pink Coalition" described themselves as puppeteers for the day. The Pussy Dragon was a huge hit, delighting fellow marchers.
