Amanda Skinner is an art historian and museum professional, and teaches art history at Maine College of Art & Design and the University of New England. She holds a double Master’s in Art History and Museum Studies from Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Art History from the University of Maine in Orono, with minors in Business Administration, Anthropology, and Studio Art.
Amanda is interested in the evolution of art history as a discipline, and her research investigates the role of art history and art museums within a contemporary STEM-focused world. Amanda approaches the subject through an interdisciplinary perspective with an emphasis on issues pertaining to accessibility and inclusivity.
