    Elaine Mercier has 30+ years of broad business management experience in insurance, occupational health, Medicaid health plan operations and nonprofit organizations. She is especially adept in building relationships with key stakeholders, leading strategic projects and developing talent. Elaine designed and implemented creative solutions, improved established operations and launched new initiatives. She is a collaborative and an engaging team player with excellent communication and presentation skills.
    Elaine has worked at large and small organizations in various geographic areas including: Boston, Minneapolis, Phoenix, Philadelphia and Portland, Maine.
    Core competencies and experiences are: operations leadership, financial management of operating budgets and P&L’s, program development, strategic planning initiatives, regional management, talent management and development and customer and large client relations.
    Select accomplishments:
    -- Managed expense budgets in $10-15million range.
    -- Led corporate and regional teams of 150+ professionals across multiple states.

    Elaine has a B.A. degree, Magna cum laude from Regis College, Weston, MA. Elaine earned an MBA, Masters in Business Administration from Babson College, Wellesley, MA. Additionally, Elaine studied at the Alliance Francaise in Paris, France. She participated in two executive development programs: Program for Developing Executives, Simmons College Graduate School of Management, Boston and LEADERSHIP Philadelphia’s Core Program in Philadelphia.
    Elaine teaches currently at USM, UNE and MECA&D in the greater Portland area. Elaine lives in South Portland, Maine. She enjoys many cultural activities—theater, art and dance, reading, golf and exploring the many fine Portland area restaurants.
