Isabelle Maschal O’Donnell earned her BFA in Painting from Maine College of Art & Design in 2017. Before accepting her current position as the Alumni Relations & Events Coordinator, she worked as the Exhibitions Assistant at the Institute of Contemporary Art at MECA&D and as the Painting Technician for the BFA program. Isabelle has also previously worked for the Portland Museum of Art, as well as with local galleries and artists. Isabelle is also a practicing artist who uses textiles and craft techniques as a means to explore and question painting abstraction. She has exhibited throughout Maine as well as in Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin at venues including Able Baker Contemporary, Boston University Stone Gallery, Institute of Contemporary Art at MECA&D, and the Center for Maine Contemporary Art. Her work has been published in ArtMaze Magazine, Friend of the Artist and Maine Home + Design, and she has attended residencies at the Stephen Pace House and Hewnoaks Artist Colony.
