Jessica Parker Foley is an adjunct professor in painting at Maine College of Art & Design. She is an artist, naturalist, and educator living and working in Portland, Maine. She holds a BA in Environmental Humanities from Sterling College and an MFA from MECA&D. She has been teaching art and ecology for five years on the coast of Maine. Her painting practice is grounded in close observation, alchemy, natural history, and material. Her studio research focuses on the role landscape painting plays in our understanding of the world around us.
