Rick is a New England Native who returned to Maine in 2019 after serving as a professional staff member in the U.S. Congress, tours with the State Department, and leadership roles in industry, nonprofit, and military organizations. His personal creative/art practices include oil painting, metalworking, woodworking, and photography. Other hobbies include fly fishing, skiing, and many outdoor activities.
Rick has been an adjunct professor of political science and international affairs since 2014 and he strives to animate his pedagogy with firsthand insights, experiences, and novel perspectives across political and social sciences. Employing the context of both current issues and historic experiences, Rick applies his experience, education, and passion for authentic educational modalities to advance creative, critical thinking, and the problem-solving skills students need to succeed in private and professional life.
