Samantha Haedrich is a independent designer based in Portland. She works under the name PATH, providing creative direction for clients within the fields of art, architecture and independent publishing.

At MECA&D, Samantha teaches courses in professional practice, independent publishing, information design and visual identity systems. Her classes have partnered with King Middle School, the Maine Audubon Society, the Maine Red Claws, and Portland Trails.

Samantha has served as the Co-President of AIGA Maine since 2015. She first joined AIGA Maine in 2012 as Education Director, and in that role developed AIGA Maine’s Mentorship Program. She also helped launch Maine’s annual Portfolio Day, which she continues to organize in partnership with MECA&D.

Samantha is a co-founder of the New England Art Book Fair, a two-day event held at SPACE Gallery, which showcases artists, book sellers and small presses from across the country.

Born and raised in New Jersey, she received an MFA from Yale University and a BFA from Carnegie Mellon University.
