Yelani Stieg is a recent MECA&D graduate from the Ceramics program. As a born and raised Mainer, Yelani spends their time enjoying the outdoors and enjoying time with their cats. Yelani’s ceramic work is inspired by the vastness of the universe and the variety of life that could exist across it. They create ceramic sculptures of plants and creatures that might exist on other possible worlds. Along with clay, Yelani also incorporates materials such as flocking powder, paint, and textiles to create unexpected, otherworldly surfaces.
