Debra Bickford '79
Debra Bickford (Printmaking ’79) was honored on April 8, 2017 for winning the "Maine Art Education Association [MAEA] Art Educator of the Year" award. The award was presented by Suzanne Goulet, the President of MAEA. MECA&D also received the 2017 business award "MAEA Art Advocates of the Year”.
The Maine Art Education Association is an organization that welcomes individuals who are engaged within Maine’s art education. The members are committed to fostering and encouraging excellence within their visual art classrooms, ensuring high quality teaching and professional opportunities, as well as participating in a member’s forum to collaborate and support excellence within Maine’s visual arts education.
