Artist Bio
Brooke Saias is a documentary photographer and filmmaker. Much of her work focuses on issues around women, identity, and mental health. She received a B.A. in Gender & Women’s Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and she took classes later on at the International Center of Photography in New York City. She most recently graduated from The Salt Institute for Documentary Studies at the Maine College of Art & Design with a graduate certificate in Visual Storytelling. She is the Meetings Chair for the Women Photojournalists of Washington and is based in Washington, DC but is also often in Maine, New York, and LA.
