Artist Bio
The first time I was on the radio was a pledge drive promo for a small community radio station. It went something like this “I like KVNF because it’s fun to listen to music” I go on to say, “music is like a dream”. It was recorded in 1998, I was five. My parents were DJs and I was brought on to promote the kids' show but ended up instead talking about my love of jazz but also how I really liked the blues. It wasn’t until my final year of college that I returned to radio when, while doing research for my senior thesis, I realized that the thing that interested me most about my work were the stories I was hearing. That everything I had been doing since the age of five, whether it was the short unpublished novel I wrote at 13 or the spoken word performances I obsessively watched on Youtube in high school, always came back to the importance of story. I am a storyteller and documentarian living and working in Western Colorado.
